Paint Your Peace
Listening to what wants to release. Your detachment sharpens.
There is something about fluid art that asks you to let go before you are ready.
You arrive with a canvas and a plan. Maybe a color palette. Maybe a sense of what you'd like to create. And then the paint begins to move. It flows where it wants to flow. It blends in ways you didn't expect. And something you worked to create begins to drift toward the edge of the canvas.
And the listening sharpens. Not around what to add. Around what to release.
Fluid art moves like water. It doesn't hold form the way landscape painting does. It asks something different of you. Not whether to trust what arrives. Whether to let go of what is leaving. Even the parts you love. Even the parts you worked hard to create. Even the parts that feel like they should stay.
This is what Paint Your Peace teaches.
Not how to pour paint. How to listen to what is ready to release.
Over two days beside the pond, you work with fluid art, following the movement of color, expansion, and sensation as it unfolds. There is no image to copy and nothing to get right. Guided support is offered throughout so you always have enough to move forward. There is ample time for creative presence, quiet reflection, and being in nature without rush or pressure to perform.
The paint that flows off the canvas is not a mistake. It is the practice. What remains when you stop holding on is what was always most true.
And as the canvas opens, something else does too. Something that was waiting for there to be enough space to arrive.
You leave lighter than you came. With more room inside you than you had before.
Who this retreat is for
This retreat is for any woman who wants to deepen her inner listening through release and creative flow. Who senses something accumulating that needs to move. Who is ready to practice letting go of what no longer belongs, even when it's beautiful, even when it's familiar.
No art experience needed. No previous retreat required. Just the willingness to follow what wants to flow.
What to expect
Two consecutive non-residential days from 10am to 3pm outdoors beside the pond at the retreat space in Culpeper, Virginia.

This is a non-residential retreat. You return home or rest locally between days, allowing time to integrate what opened before you come back the next morning.
