A mirror for when you don’t recognize yourself.

I’m Nicole Weston, an intuitive painter in Culpeper, Virginia. My attunement paintings are a reminder of what’s always present beneath the noise.

When what used to work stops working

When life shifts under us, with a role ending, a relationship changing, or a chapter closing, the way we’ve always operated can stop working. The strengths that carried us, like holding it together, pushing through, and looking outside for direction and approval, start to backfire. For some of us it goes deeper. Who we thought we were comes apart, and we walk around feeling lost, unsure who we are.

There are two ways through. We can keep doing more of what used to work, or we can turn toward what’s within. I believe the second is where direction returns.

What becomes possible

You recognize yourself beneath who you were. You know which direction is yours and can tell it apart from the noise. You meet change from steadiness.
